DIY: Milk and Honey Deep Conditioner Treatment

I made a deep conditioner yesterday for my sister. Great stuff -- so great I needed to share :)

Ingredients:

1 can of pure coconut milk (contains proteins, which strengthen hair and can help to minimize breakage. It also has properties which protect hair and scalp from UV rays)

1 ripe avocado (natural source of protein - rich in fatty acids that are a real must in your daily diet, especially when it come to your hair. Your hair will go from brittle to being soft and shiny)

2 tablespoons of pure honey (conditions and adds sheen -a natural humectant [it attracts and holds on to water molecules] making a great treatment for dry, damaged hair. )

2 tablespoons of olive oil (rich in Vitamin E - moisturizes, protects, and nourishes)

Directions:

Blend all of the ingredients together. My consitency was smoothie like. But it can be any consistency you wish. You can store in your refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

How to Apply to Hair:

Section hair into 4. Generously apply evenly to hair, from root to ends concentrating on ends(ends are most damaging). Smooth hair into a protective style (braided ponytail, or a bun).

Put on a shower cap or wrap your head with saran wrap.

For deeper conditioning sit under a dryer or you can put a hot, damp towel around your head-(over the shower cap or saran wrap).

Then wash out.
