Zoophiles

So I read the New Times today and it was about zoophiles ("zoos"). I know you are like what the hell is a zoophile. Yes, that's the same question I asked. Well that was until I saw the front page.



Yes, it is a picture of a man french kissing a dog. Or as zoophile may observe, it's a picture of a man and his companion, which happens to be a dog, being intimate.

Zoophilia literally means the love of animals. With the literal meaning, I guess dog owners around the globe can be consider a zoophile. But this article wasn't about a pet owner crying about the death of his/her pug of 15 years. No it was about people who are intimate and have sex with animals. We sometimes refer to this activity as bestiality.
The article was very interesting. Here are some points made in the article:


1. On Joining the Gay Right Fight -- A lot of zoos believe that their fight is similar to the gay rights fight. Gay activists disagree. These activists say that they are fighting for the right to be with a human being while zoos, they contend, are fighting for the right to be with a non consensual ANIMAL.


2. Zoophilia & Pedophila -- Piers Beirne, a criminologist and author of the book Confronting Animal Abuse, says that having sex with a domesticated animal creates an imbalance of power because these animals are dependent on humans for food, shelter, and love. Thus he says, "I think it's morally wrong for a human to have sex with nonhuman animals for exactly the same reasons it's wrong for him to have sex with human babies or adolescents."


3. Zoo's doing the Do = Rape: Many have said because animals can not consent having sex with them is rape.


4. Zoophilia = Animal Cruelty. Zoos say they condemn the killing of animals. Zoos say people must differentiate between those who rape animals and those who consider sex with them consensual. "For this reason, a man who has sex with chickens, for instance, is not a zoophile because the act is sure to hurt if not kill the chicken."


5. A zoo speaks about his orientation. "The human body turns me off — women wear perfumes; guys sweat. It irks me. You can show me pictures of nude models and it doesn't turn me on. I think the human body is kind of stupid. A big-horned sheep, certain breeds of dogs, are much more physically attractive to me than a woman with big breasts or a man with a big penis." James


6. James believes that he is not raping an animal because he is merely allowing his Rottweiler to mount HIM.


7. Animal Instincts? When humans have sex they act on their own animal instincts. And if so, it's silly to deprive another animal of those instincts on the grounds that the animal has a less developed brain.

8. I'm assuming that most zoos are men. Women zoos have much more work to do. I mean how would a women get a dog to do her. Have you ever seen a dog's penis? It's way too short -- well at least I think so. But men zoos don't have to worry about that because they have the tool. They can just do the dog. (disgusting thoughts are coming, let me just live this alone)
